"One of those funny stories, that aren't funny."

It's been 30 years since "Lights, Camera, Revolution" was released.
I'm not gonna mention names or go into full on details, but before "LCR" was released there was a little "controversy" about the song "Alone".

Some people were concerned about the lyrics in particular. "They aren't punk"..."They aren't metal"..."They aren't thrash"..."They show weakness"..."People won't like them"..."you need to be harder"...etc., etc. etc."

So concerned that "someone" didn't want it to be released as a "single" and went as far as to say it would kill the record if it was.

But all that was relevant to me was..."is it honest? Yes, it is so therefore it's quite the opposite of weak.
Is it good? Then I don't care if it does or doesn't fit in. If you don't like it, I'll still wake up in the morning :)

So here we are in 2020 a year like no other.
Safe to say it's been a long time since people have been this scared, divided, and everything in between.

Lots of things have changed in music and the world in that time and right now that's more true then ever.

This pandemic has forced live music to stop and that is the biggest "connection" with the ST family and people for Suicidal Tendencies.

"Alone is the way I feel, it's not the way I want it, but I know I can't give in. Alone is the way I live, there's nothing quite as sad as a person that's Alone"

We truly hope no one feels "Alone", but if you do feel down, that you'll find something to pick you up and fill your heart, till you find that strength within. And hopefully when you do, you'll be there to lift someone else up.
It's safe to say there are way too many people that are determined to only tear people down.

So today on Tuesday, we're gonna start "Music Monday" to announce every Monday we'll be putting out or sharing different music from other artists we are working with now and in the future.

So here's a new version of the song "Alone" sung by Nisha STar. It's a more moody/acoustic vibe then the original.
Although presented different sonically, emotionally it still resonates, and hopefully you'll be able to appreciate the difference and possibly find something in this version that is relevant to you today.

Check out the link. If you like it share it. Follow Nisha STar
and find out more about her and her musical journey or get involved and help out.
And look out next week Monday when we post video for "22 Below".

We miss you all. STay STrong, STay Healthy, STay Sane. STay Cyco!
